Best Month For Brewers: Milwaukee Trends Since 2021
Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

The Milwaukee Brewers have gone to the postseason five of the past six years and are coming off of another National League Central division title in 2023.

Can the Brew Crew translate that regular-season form into playoff success in 2024 in pursuit of the first World Series title in franchise history?

We wondered how each month has gone for the Brewers in the past three full 162-game seasons, since 2021. So with Spring Training underway and the regular season not far off, BetWisconsin.com – your home for coverage on efforts to make Wisconsin sports betting legal â€“ took a look at data from Baseball-Reference.com to see which months have been best and worst, cumulatively, over the past three years. Here are the results.

Milwaukee Brewers Best Month

1. April 49-26 .653
2. August 48-33 .593
3. July 41-32 .562

Brewers Best And Worst Months Past 3 Years

Based on the Baseball-Reference.com data, the Brewers tend to get off to hot starts. Since 2021, April has been the best month for Milwaukee, with a 49-26 record and a .653 winning percentage.

Oddly, after the first month of the regular season has treated them so well lately, the Brewers have their worst month in May. Their 41-43 mark in May is the only losing record they have had in a month over the past three seasons combined.

The two months during and after the All-Star break have gone well in the Cream City, as August is the second-best month (48-33) for the Brewers and July (41-32) ranks third.

Milwaukee Brewers 2024 Odds

There is no legal, regulated sports betting in Wisconsin outside of two brick-and-mortar locations – the Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee and the Oneida Casino in Green Bay. But in neighboring Illinois, BetMGM Sportsbook offers +10000 odds on Milwaukee to win the World Series, by far the longest odds of any team that went to the postseason in 2023.

The Brewers traded ace Corbin Burnes, a former Cy Young Award winner, to the Baltimore Orioles in February. Starter Brandon Woodruff, a two-time All-Star, is on the 60-day injured list after right shoulder surgery and is expected to miss most of the 2024 season. The lineup retains most of its punch, with William Contreras, Willy Adames and Christian Yelich returning. And Milwaukee signed former Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins as a free agent.

After a three-game set on the road against the New York Mets at the end of March to open the regular season, the Brewers have their first series at American Family Field against the Minnesota Twins on April 2-3, then host the Seattle Mariners in a three-game set from April 5-7. Another hot start could help Milwaukee defy the oddsmakers and get back to the postseason.
