Few NFL head coaches have begun their sideline career the way that Matt LaFleur of the Green Bay Packers has.
Between LaFleur’s .712 winning percentage (going 47-19 with the team) and his three NFC North titles, there have been no shortage of highlights to the 44-year-old Michigan native’s tenure in Green Bay to date.
At BetWisconsin.com, we like to use our Wisconsin sports betting mindset in most of what we do, so we utilized data from TeamRankings.com to gather every active NFL head coach’s record ATS, dating back to 2003 when data was made available. We did not include records from interim stints.

LaFleur Among NFL’s Best ATS
In four seasons with the Packers, LaFleur has posted the fourth-best record of all NFL head coaches ATS, with a combined record of 42-29 with the club.
That 59.2% cover percentage ranks behind New York Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll (73.7%), Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions (67.7%) and Zac Taylor of the Cincinnati Bengals (60%) among NFL head coaches.
LaFleur finds himself ahead of former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy on the NFL list, with the former Green Bay and current Dallas Cowboys leader posting a 56.4% cover percentage during his 16-year coaching career.
As for the season ahead, BetMGM Sportsbook has LaFleur and the Packers are listed as +400 longshots to win the NFC North, tying the Chicago Bears for last in the division. Green Bay comes in behind the Lions (+130) and Vikings (+280).
As for the team’s win total over/under, BetMGM Sportsbook lists the Packers at -225 to go over 8.5 wins in 2023-24, with +165 odds on the under. Wisconsin BetMGM sportsbook will have odds like this once they are legal in the state.
Based on LaFleur’s track record through four seasons with the franchise, it seems like Packers fans should expect the team to at least cover the spread more often than not in the year ahead.
